2013 Census electorate tables

2013 Census electorate tables provide data on a wide range of topics for general electorates and Māori electorates. Topics include age and sex, cultural diversity, income, tenure of household, and access to telecommunication systems.

The tables contain 2013 data and are based on the new 2014 electorate boundaries. They provide information on all people usually living within the general electorates, and the Māori descent population usually living within the Māori electorates.

General electorate tables: The electorates are ordered alphabetically within the North Island, then alphabetically within the South Island.

Māori electorate tables: The electorates are ordered alphabetically.

The tables show:

  • the census usually resident population count at the time of the 2013 Census in the 2014 general electorates
  • the Māori descent census usually resident population count at the time of the 2013 Census in the 2014 Māori electorates.

These tables do not show the general or the Māori electoral populations as defined in the Electoral Act.

These tables do not show eligible voters in the general or the Māori electorates.
