For people identifying with the Albanian ethnic group living in New Zealand on 5 March 2013:

  • 51.9 percent said they affiliated with at least one religion.
  • Those born in New Zealand were less likely than those born overseas to affiliate with at least one religion, at 50.0 percent and 50.7 percent, respectively.

Most common religion

For people identifying with the Albanian ethnic group living in New Zealand on 5 March 2013:

  • The most common religion was Islam/Muslim (37.5 percent).

No religion

For people identifying with the Albanian ethnic group living in New Zealand on 5 March 2013:

  • 45.6 percent said they had no religion.
  • By comparison, 46.9 percent of the total European ethnic group and 41.9 percent of the total New Zealand population said they had no religion.
