Correction

We replaced Table 2 early on 22 November, the day after we published it, to correct two small errors.

In the new version:

  • we removed the data for agriculture industries from 1988–90 (we normally suppress these because the data lacks quality – instead, we give a total agriculture number)
  • we replaced detailed industry numbers for 1983–86 with '..' because the estimates are not available.

Input-output tables

Input-output tables are a powerful analytical tool that describes the structure of New Zealand’s economy. The tables show the relationships between industries, the goods and services they produce, and who uses them.
