Environmental information is grouped into five domains. A set of topics identify the key issues within each domain, while indicators provide measures for each topic.

Topics help us answer high-level questions about the state of a domain, the pressures influencing changes in this state, and the impact those changes are having on public health, ecological integrity, the economy, te ao Māori, and recreation and culture.
