Disability and formal supports in New Zealand in 2006

Disability and formal supports in New Zealand in 2006 presents results from the 2006 New Zealand Disability Survey. The report shows how many disabled people living in New Zealand households and residential facilities received formal support from paid helpers, and health and disability-related service providers. It also outlines the types of support received by disabled children and adults.

The report is a companion to Disability and Informal Care in New Zealand in 2006: Results from the New Zealand Disability Survey.  That report documents how disabled people are supported by informal carers (eg family members, friends, or neighbours).

Read the report online, or download and print the PDF and tables from 'Available files' above. If you have problems viewing the files, see Opening files and PDFs.
