Serious injury outcome indicators – technical report outlines the technical specifications for the serious injury outcome indicators used to monitor the New Zealand Injury Prevention Strategy (NZIPS). It accompanies the three reports for the serious injury outcome indicators, which provide a measure of New Zealand’s progress in reducing serious injury for the population as a whole, for children, and for Māori. This report is for readers who wish for more detail on the indicators, particularly about the methods for deriving them. It also provides information on how to interpret the graphs presented in each of the indicator reports.
