Highlights

This release focuses on labour market dynamics for New Zealand. In the year to the December 2009 quarter:

  • Seasonally adjusted (SA) filled jobs decreased 2.9 percent to 1,776,679.
  • Filled jobs decreased 2.9 percent to 1,798,130.
  • Seasonally adjusted average quarterly earnings decreased 1.0 percent.
  • The annual average worker turnover rate remained low at 14.5 percent.
