Highlights

This release focuses on labour market dynamics for New Zealand. For the year from the June 2008 quarter to the June 2009 quarter:

  • filled jobs decreased 2.8 percent to 1,797,630
  • seasonally adjusted filled jobs decreased 2.9 percent, down to 1,789,298
  • seasonally adjusted average quarterly earnings increased 2.0 percent, to reach $11,956.
