Key facts
  • The total energy used in the manufacturing industry decreased 8 percent between 2012 and 2014.
  • Over 750 million litres of diesel was used by the transport, postal, and warehousing industry in 2014.
  • The public administration and safety industry used 9,809 terajoules of energy in 2014, 42 percent of which came from electricity.
  • The arts and recreation services industry sourced over 80 percent of its energy from electricity and other petroleum sources, such as fuel oil and LPG.
