Key facts

All references are to seasonally adjusted series and are compared with the December 2012 quarter.

  • Merchandise export volumes rose 0.9 percent.
  • Meat made the largest contribution to the rise.
  • Petroleum and petroleum product volumes fell.
  • Merchandise import volumes rose 2.1 percent.
  • Motor spirit was the main contributor to the rise.
  • Intermediate and consumption goods rose while capital goods fell.
