Statistics on the number of overseas visitors, New Zealand-resident travellers, and permanent and long-term migrants entering or leaving New Zealand.

New Zealand General Social Survey 
Information on the well-being of New Zealanders aged 15 years and over. The survey covers a wide range of social and economic measures, and shows how well-being outcomes are distributed across different groups within the New Zealand population, including ethnic groups.

Time Use Survey: 2009/10 
The 2009/10 Time Use Survey provides information on how New Zealanders aged 12 years and over spend their time, including time use patterns by ethnicity, and participation in unpaid work.

2013 Census ethnic group profiles (published 2014)
2013 Census information about ethnic groups living in New Zealand, with information about the Asian ethnic group, and the ethnic groups within that broad category. Includes overviews of topics such as population and geography, birthplace, education, and housing.

Population estimates at 30 June 1996, 2001, and 2006 
Estimated national and subnational ethnic populations by age and sex at 30 June, for regional council and territorial authority areas. These tables are available from NZ.Stat

The projected Māori, Pacific, Asian, and 'European or Other' ethnic populations for regional council, territorial authority, and Auckland local board areas of New Zealand, by age and sex, based on different combinations of fertility, mortality, migration, and inter-ethnic mobility assumptions. These tables are available from NZ.Stat.

Asian ethnic group profiles, 2006 
These 48 tables provide Asian ethnic group profiles based on results from the 2006 Census. They contain information on demographics, religion, language, education, labour force participation, occupation, study, tenure of housing, household composition, and cigarette smoking.

Institutional trust, voting, and strength of feeling of belonging to New Zealand by migrant status and regional centre
Data on migrants living in different regions of New Zealand, whether they voted in the 2008 general election, how strongly they feel they belong to New Zealand, and their levels of trust in social institutions. It compares this information with non-migrant groups. The table is available from NZ.Stat using General Social Survey 2010 data.

Civic participation, ethnicity, age, and strength of feeling of belonging to New Zealand
Data on types and levels of civic participation by different population groups in New Zealand. Two types of participation are focused on: voting (for general and local area elections), and formal voluntary work done for an organisation or group. These tables are available from NZ.Stat using General Social Survey 2010 data.
