Fiscal year apprehension statistics

Fiscal year population estimates

The estimates in these tables have been derived by New Zealand Police, using data supplied by Statistics NZ.

These population estimates may be used to calculate apprehension rates. The formula for calculating an apprehension rate is:

(number of apprehensions / population estimate) X 10,000 = apprehension rate per 10,000 people.
